Welcome to Ardent House, home to the McPherson family, this is where you will receive a warm and friendly Scottish welcome.The house was constructed from local Hopeman sandstone, over 100 years ago, and still retains much of the character associated with superior houses of it's time. Located in the quiet picturesque fishing village of Hopeman, on the Moray coast, Ardent House has private parking and makes the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. You will be assured a pleasant stay with your host, Norma.
Norma has been noiminated in the AA Landlady of the year competition four times!
Ardent House offers bed and breakfast in double or twin bedrooms and en-suite facilities are available. All rooms are decorated to a very high standard, with hostess trays, colour television, hairdryers and other thoughtful extras to make your stay more comfortable.
After savouring our well known speciality breakfast, including our own home-smoked fish, fruit and vegetables from the garden (when in season), and of course Norma's delicious home baking, you can relax in the conservatory overlooking the beautiful walled rose garden.
The local area is
very popular with photographers and artists due to the clarity of light and
spectacular sunsets. Golfers, walkers, birdwatchers, cyclists and nature lovers
return time and again to enjoy this haven on the Moray coast, which boasts 4
times as many hours of sunshine as other parts of Scotland.
Attractions in the local area include the Castle Trail, Whisky Trail and Coastal Trail. There are Dolphins, Ospreys, Seals and many different kinds of seabirds and waders to be seen at the beach. There are also many excellent golf courses including Championship courses and links to test your skills. Situated near the world famous Gordonstoun School, with whom Norma has an excellent relationship, (on their recommendation list for visitors to the school). Ardent House is the ideal base for your break in the North East.
